Baggett Law Marks Three-Year Anniversary with Addition of Former Rogers Towers Partner
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (September 24, 2015) – Baggett Law is proud to celebrate its third anniversary and expansion with the addition of AV Preeminent Rated and Board Certified construction law attorney, Amanda Baggett. Ms. Baggett joins the practice as a partner and will continue representing clients in construction law and commercial litigation matters.
“Leaving Rogers Towers was something I never thought I’d do, but as time went on I realized it was a great opportunity to join my husband’s growing practice and become part of something we can build together,” said Ms. Baggett. Ms. Baggett’s husband, Matt Baggett, founded the firm in 2012 after several years at Rogers Towers and Murphy & Anderson.
With the addition of Ms. Baggett, the firm has added construction law to its areas of practice. The firm also handles personal injury, wrongful death and commercial litigation matters. Ms. Baggett said that the move to a smaller firm will allow her a greater degree of flexibility to solve clients’ problems.
Ms. Baggett serves on the Construction Law Certification Committee for The Florida Bar and is Vice-Chair of the Jacksonville Bar Association’s Construction Law Section. She is also involved in various community and professional organizations and serves as an arbitrator through the American Arbitration Association. In 2014, Ms. Baggett was honored by the Jacksonville Business Journal as one of its 27 “Women of Influence.” She has also been repeatedly recognized by Florida Trend Magazine as a “Legal Elite Up and Comer” and by Florida Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star.”
“I cannot think of a better partner to bring on board,” said Mr. Baggett, a Florida native and graduate of the University of Florida and Florida State University law school. Ms. Baggett is a Georgia native and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and law degree from Mercer University. Although there is some rivalry between them during college football season, when it comes to representing clients, Ms. Baggett says the two are a dedicated team.
